So my road trip was definately a blast!!! Me and my sister had some good bonding times and have a bunch of funny stories to tell!!!

But, on a more serious note....Something that I've wanted to write on here about but have forgotten about it, until something reminded me... Something that really bothers me is when Christians cuss.  It drives me up the wall... I know, we all slip up from time to time and all...I mean, I've done it myself before... But, on a regular basis?  We Christians are saved cuz we realized that Jesus went through a horrible death with all of the suffering that comes from that all for each one of us...and we accepted it and wanted to do something to try and say thank you... And, we all should and mostly try to live the rest of our lives saying thank you for what he did....but, everytime we screw up here on earth, we're telling him we don't care about what he did...that is what repentance is for...saying we're sorry for messing up yet again...but, cussing is also a sin, and tells Jesus we don't care about what he did for us... no matter if we do or not,,,what we do speaks louder than what we say to him in prayer.... so, everytime we start a cuss fest, or whatever its called, or even do any sin we humans continue to do over and over again, we are pretty much taking back our thank you we told God when we were baptized....

Sorry if this is so long and doesn't flow well, but I think everyone should read it....

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."

I'm whispering "I was lost,

Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble

and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak

And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed

And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect,

My flaws are far too visible

But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain.

I have my share of heartaches

So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"

I'm not holier than thou,

I'm just a simple sinner

Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Happy Easter!!!!

Don't play with fire!! Or, in better terms, stay away from the devil!!! If you say that you're going to keep yourself a specified distance from the world, you still continue to get deeper and deeper into sin, and the world.  You can't compare yourself to the world.  I know I get caught up in this.  I keep comparing myself to the world, making myself feel better than I'm not doing what the world does.  But, if you think about it, what we, as Christians, allow ourselves to do now, would be considered inconceivable even 40 or 50 years ago.

Jesus and his teachings have not moved.  We cannot compare ourselves to the world, which is digging itself deeper and deeper into the devil.  We have to block out the world, and look to Jesus as our model.  We cannot use the world as our model of what not to do.  Use Jesus as what to do.

Hope and pray you all have a wonderfully blessed day and week!!!!

Well, I guess its time for a new post, its been a looong time. I don't really have anything life-changing or deeply insightful to say.  God has definately been blessing my life right now.  I am uber happy!!! I have been drawn into the idea of mission work.  Before-hand, it was just an idea, but as I grow closer to God, I begin to realize some of the talents he has given me.  I feel like one of them is mission work.  However, everyone is called into mission work.  No matter where you are, or how old you are.  Mission work is another term for Christianity.  I'm going to steal what someone said last night at devo.  We can't just be a Christian who just loves God.  We are called to share this with everyone in our lives.

But, back to me.  I feel like I could use my major, which is teaching, in the mission field.  Everywhere needs teachers.  I could totally get into the lives of kids and be a missionary.
